The Pursuit Of Happiness

What is happiness? Is it the same as joy? How many of us truly understand, know and have experienced it in its truest source? And why do we all pursue it?

The whole world desires true happiness, but few ever find it in its purest form. WHY?

We look for it in earthly things of this world. We search in possessions, friends, family, our boyfriends/girlfriends and spouses. Yet it still eludes us. WHY?

Because its not IN this world. It never was. And we'll never find it in humans or possessions. WHY?

Some say its love, friends and family. (Sex)

We date, we break up, we keep searching, we get married, we have sex, we have kids and family. We have friends and girlfriends/boyfriends all through our lives. We grow out of many, we move on, they encourage us, uplift us and share and listen to problems. They let us down, they hurt us and they betray us often. We let them down and we lie, cheat and get angry and depressed. We all make mistakes. They don’t fill the void in our hearts. So we keep searching.

Some say its possessions/money.

We have searched, warred, and pursued riches/money all through our history. WHY?

Because the world says money=happiness. Yet we are still dissatisfied. We still search, we still war and we still pursue and it brings not what we search for. WHY?

One of the most problematic trials for Christians today is not necessarily their faith, but the happiness IN that faith. Containing it, holding on to it, and the consistency needed to walk continuously in it. WHY?

We forget where the source comes from, we get caught up in the world and our possessions, friends, family, spouses and crushes. We FORGET who IS happiness.

We miss the whole point and picture. We miss WHO and not WHAT is happiness.

It resides in only one. The one and only true Lord and God over all the heavens and earth. His name?

Jesus Christ,

The Alpha and Omega,

The Beginning and the End

The list continues.

If He is our true happiness, how do we reach it? How do we reach Him?

Jesus Christ fills the void where no family, friend, spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend can fill. He brings us HAPPINESS that no money can buy.

If there is one goal in my life I'd like to complete, it would be to find and hold on consistently to true happiness. The kind that passes all understanding. For with this joy, comes peace, love, patience, kindness and all other forms of the fruit of the spirit.

God/ Jesus IS that source. To trust Him, read His word DAILEY, but most of all, PRAY and MEMORIZE His scripture. Meditate upon it. For the wisdom that comes from those thin pages hold more treasures than anything on earth.

We may be familiar with pain, suffering and trails, but how many of us can say we are familiar with happiness? Joy? It its Purest and simplest form?

That's my goal. To hold on, to not let go and to become.....FAMILIAR.

Lets not pursue happiness, let’s let it pursue us in the end.

God bless.

Miss You Guys....

"Blue eyes as deep as the ocean look up to me,

A smile that lights up the inside of my heart,

chubby hands that grasp my fingers trustingly,

I close my eyes to remember and know we will never part."

I love you.....

Goodbyes.....

My sister, her husband, his brother and my sweet baby nephew are gone. They left in the wee early hours of the morning on yesterday. The times we had were wonderful and long. Many joys, laughter, fun, fights, tears and happiness.

A gap and hole has appeared where baby Eric had filled me,
An emptiness has settled over the house where it was full,
Where laughter was, now tears and sorrow,
Sweet joy has turned to painful reminders of their presence now gone.

But life goes on and we move on.

But we always remember. We will never forget.

I love you.

Hikes and Caves

Well its yet another day in paradise!!! I cant tell you how much I love vacations and oceans combined!!! =D lol.  We hiked up to another cave which was TOTALLY amazing of course.  This one wasn't NEARLY as bad and took only about 10 min to get to.  Then you spend about an hour going through a maze of awesomeness. =D  Pretty fun and enjoyable.  Though I must admit, I liked the other cave better. =D

Enjoy the pics!!!!

I'm sunburned to a crisp and cant WAIT to tan!!! =D hehe.

Caves and Mountains Combined Do NOT Mix.... =P

Okay so yesterday I hiked 5 miles up a freaken mountain just to see a cave that turned out to be glorious and amazing! I would have preferred not going, but I'm glad I did despite my aching limbs and shredded feet. (did I mention I hiked it in sandals not knowing where the cave was? =P)  Man dont you just LOVE fate? =P lol.

Here's a pic of one section of the HUGE and totally awesome cave. Enjoy!!! =D

I'm going to go stretch my throbbing limbs before they get stiffer than a board. =P lol

Ocean Life And The Waves That Follow

Down at the beach and having an awesome time! Getting tan, collecting shells and just relaxing! Ah the wonderful world of beach life! =D Did I mention I LOVE the ocean? =D

But sooner or later reality hits.....life isnt a holiday and you always have to wave goodbye to the beautiful sunsets and a wonderful tan.  I'm still here for about 7 more days, but I think ahead.

"It's a gift, and a curse."

Back to the real world where life is hard and it constantly throws you curves.  Where the future is uncertain and dreams are hanging by a thread.  Where life is just never simple and drama comes in heaps and mountain sized packages.....ah....dont you just LOVE growing up? *winces*

Night ya'll. Sweet dreams.....mine are haunted by memories I just cant seem to escape.

Girls Night Out!!! =D

Okay so all the boys in the house including my Dad went off to a scout camp out for the weekend!!!! =D Wahoo!!! Party time for us girls! (two of the boys actually had to stay home because they were recovering from being sick, but they kept to themselves on the other side of the house. =P lol)

We watched some chick flicks and kinda just chilled friday evening. Then today we went out and did some shopping and ate out for dinner. We had my second sister's baby with us so that was totally fun. Bought him some baby clothes and he was SUCH a doll in them!!!! hehe.

Totally stuffed and ready to hit the sack, but it was so relaxing to just get out and not be in a rush to go somewhere or get something done. =)

Enough for tonight.

God bless!

Yet Another New Year

So yet another new year is upon us! What are we doing? Are we setting goals in our lives and everyday habits? Breaking any old habits?

As for me, I have yet to put my plans into action due to ALL of the copy shops being closed. =/ I usually copy a book/journal that would keep my year's pondering and thoughts as well as Scriptures and another book of monthly prayers. But no suck luck in copying them since I waited too long.....meh. I must wait patiently for them all to reopen after the holidays are over. =P

So I wait to start the new year and hope that I can soon.

That's about it......
