The Pursuit Of Happiness

What is happiness? Is it the same as joy? How many of us truly understand, know and have experienced it in its truest source? And why do we all pursue it?

The whole world desires true happiness, but few ever find it in its purest form. WHY?

We look for it in earthly things of this world. We search in possessions, friends, family, our boyfriends/girlfriends and spouses. Yet it still eludes us. WHY?

Because its not IN this world. It never was. And we'll never find it in humans or possessions. WHY?

Some say its love, friends and family. (Sex)

We date, we break up, we keep searching, we get married, we have sex, we have kids and family. We have friends and girlfriends/boyfriends all through our lives. We grow out of many, we move on, they encourage us, uplift us and share and listen to problems. They let us down, they hurt us and they betray us often. We let them down and we lie, cheat and get angry and depressed. We all make mistakes. They don’t fill the void in our hearts. So we keep searching.

Some say its possessions/money.

We have searched, warred, and pursued riches/money all through our history. WHY?

Because the world says money=happiness. Yet we are still dissatisfied. We still search, we still war and we still pursue and it brings not what we search for. WHY?

One of the most problematic trials for Christians today is not necessarily their faith, but the happiness IN that faith. Containing it, holding on to it, and the consistency needed to walk continuously in it. WHY?

We forget where the source comes from, we get caught up in the world and our possessions, friends, family, spouses and crushes. We FORGET who IS happiness.

We miss the whole point and picture. We miss WHO and not WHAT is happiness.

It resides in only one. The one and only true Lord and God over all the heavens and earth. His name?

Jesus Christ,

The Alpha and Omega,

The Beginning and the End

The list continues.

If He is our true happiness, how do we reach it? How do we reach Him?

Jesus Christ fills the void where no family, friend, spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend can fill. He brings us HAPPINESS that no money can buy.

If there is one goal in my life I'd like to complete, it would be to find and hold on consistently to true happiness. The kind that passes all understanding. For with this joy, comes peace, love, patience, kindness and all other forms of the fruit of the spirit.

God/ Jesus IS that source. To trust Him, read His word DAILEY, but most of all, PRAY and MEMORIZE His scripture. Meditate upon it. For the wisdom that comes from those thin pages hold more treasures than anything on earth.

We may be familiar with pain, suffering and trails, but how many of us can say we are familiar with happiness? Joy? It its Purest and simplest form?

That's my goal. To hold on, to not let go and to become.....FAMILIAR.

Lets not pursue happiness, let’s let it pursue us in the end.

God bless.
